We follow the children’s interest, therefore there may be a few different themes happening within the main focused theme.
We provide opportunities which enable children to;
Make choices, express ideas, reflect on experiences and information, share thoughts, make discoveries and explore and engage in first hand experiences. Our curriculum is designed to be inclusive and appealing for all children.
Our allocation of time, space and equipment will provide opportunities for children to develop to their full potential, physically, linguistically, intellectually, emotionally, socially and morally. We support and enhance the children’s learning ensuring they make good progress over time.
We incorporate various themes that change to accommodate the changing interests and needs of the children.
Various festivals are celebrated throughout the year. We welcome any contribution to this area and the children love having visitors.
We also promote British values where children learn:
– Their views and choices matter
– They learn to understand we have rules and boundaries
– They build self-confidence and self-awareness in having the freedom to make choices
– They learn to be kind and respect each other

Charecteristics of Effective Teaching & Learning:
Reflects on how a child learns, this includes 3 areas:
– Playing & Exploring (engagement)
– Active Learning ( Motivation)
– Creating & Thinking Critically (thinking & problem solving)
Throughout the year we organise several exciting activities. Outside visitors are also welcomed to enhance the children’s learning. We visit the local church to perform our nativity.
In the last weeks of the summer term we focus on transitions and school readiness.
